Wasn't. Anyway, these are what I consider to be the five greatest Pink Floyd albums.
DSOTM>Wish You Were Here>Animals>The Wall>Piper At The Gates of Dawn.

Closure, Assay, and Peu Etre (and others) jump started the screamo sound. Saetia just made it more popular. Just thought that it should be noted. Closure-LP and Assay-Pisschrist are amazing. I don't think Peu Etre ever released a full length.

Is Either/Or really a top 100 album?

^Word, but Either/Or is largely considered his best, though if XO had been released on Kill Rock Stars people would probably say that is. Though the album wouldn't have been as good.
Why not? Its a completely solid and great album and has been massively influential among recent artists: Iron and Wine, Rilo Kiley, the Elected, Bright Eyes, the Decemberists, Earlimart, Ben Folds, Kevin Devine, Queens of the Stone Age, Metric, Mason Jennings etc. I'd like for this to be more than just another list thats focused on arena and cock rock. |
