Circle Takes The Square's "As The Roots Undo" belongs up there.

I'm suprised its not #2, but even more suprised that something by Elliott Smith isn't #1.

For taking major parts of I Would Set Myself On Fire For You's sound?

Again really popular. It's done a lot for getting people into emo but for the actuall sound I don't see it as being very important or the album being a masterpiece.

Elvis-s/t deserves to be up here.

Are these really the albums we consider to be the greatest of all time? Indian Summer discography? I had that album and could hardly bear it.

Anyway, for Elvis I think that Sun City Recordings is more worthy than self-titled.

Finally, a signature that's chewy not chalky!

I still say Believes in Patterns > As the Roots Undo or Indian Summer Discography (although I like both a lot).

I never really understood why people factor influence into deciding how good a cd is. Sure, its a good thing if good music begets more good music, but I just like to review the album itself (eg not factoring in the cultural atmosphere of the time of release and similar pretentious bs)

Speaking of prog-metal, Deadwing by Porcupine Tree is a damned good album.
