Don't get a Collection of Songs its sucks, my favorite is Letting Off the Happiness, which I think has his best lyrics its kind of a lo-fi indie-folk album. Fevers and Mirrors is along the same lines, Lifted and Cassadaga are alt-country albums, but Lifted is way better. Wide Awake is a folk album, Digital Ash is folktronica. Noise Floor is a bad place to start since its a rarities compilation.

kdone.

Oh well then I can understand the disdain, he can be a royal, pretentious ass bag, but his lyrics, none the less, are great.

David Bowie
Tom Waits
Tori Amos
Nick Cave
Thom Yorke

They're all still alive.
They're all still awesome.

Yay for me.

One thing that bugs me about Tom Waits is that when he tells a story, for some reason he has to specify the race and country of origin of every character. Whats up with that?
