Zeppelin three was a bizarre album with a much more Acoustic and folk driven sound then the previous two. It's not exactly psychedelic but songs like Gallows Pole, Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp and That's the Way have a haunting quality to them that does approach the precipice of a natural high and I'm sure some of the substances we used when it was fresh pushed us over that edge a time or two.
All in all maybe my favorite Zeppelin album, though not their most significant historically. |

The first two Zep albums were great for their musicianship. Zep III was the first to really focus on songwriting.
And before one of you guys make a smartass requip like "too bad they don't write any of their songs". NONE of the songs on Zep III were alledged by anyone as being plagarised. The only non originals Gallows Pole and Ron Harper were credited as traditionals from the start. |

There is a sh[i]t load of punk that's crap as well. The problem with metal is the more bombastic bands whose lyrics are seemingly written by 14 year olds, and the ridiculous spandex crap that a lot of bands wore give a false representaion of the genre. There are a lot of great metal bands out there, who are influential and talented. Saying metal sucks is a bad generalisation and is narrow minded to boot. I don't like country, but I have contributed to the country forum expressing my view that it's as valid as any other form of music. You hate metal? Fair enough, but it does'nt suck.

'I wouldn't know Justin Bieber from Prince because I don't like pop', basically.
