I wouldn't claim to be a music snob, but when it comes to Northern Soul or rare 60's R&B I can get extremely anal.
On those subjects I would claim to be a connoisseur...snob NO!

that's contageous by the way, i started listening to some of your recommendations, got very into it...admittadely havent listened to any in a while, and i was quite the same.

I get the feeling most people who spend an excessive ammount of time on an internet forum entirely based around music and music discussion would have to be atleast a little snobbish when it comes to the topic.

I,m a music slob and proud! Actually although i have about 800 albums, I'm extremely picky about what I listen to and very rarely own an entire (or near as damned) discography by any artists. As my tastes veer from ambient to a nice bit of death metal via ska, world, electronica and punk, I would class myself as fairly knowledgeable on the bands I'm into. I grew up with IRON MAIDEN-so I guess I'm off some peoples lists lol

Many people consider me to be a snob and I think I also have the same impression. I don't care that much about this and I consider it's better to be a snob as I am than listen to all kinds of horribly sub quality music.

I just like music which sounds good to me and I like to always try out new artists. I may come across as a bit of a snob because I prefer the 80's/90's indie/alternative rock scene to the one at the moment but that is just my opinion I like quite a few new bands.

And I like Iron Maiden who despite adidasss' snobery have actually made some really good albums. So there!
