Default I need help with a "love song" CD

Hey everyone,

I come seeking advice from a music community that I hope can help me. I am not normally into sappy love songs--but well I am in dire situations right now. Basically, me and the love of my life just had a very big fight and after it we were both left thinking--are we meant for eachother? Its hard, last week we were talking about marriage!

It doesn't matter, though, because it took me about 5 seconds to realize I love her more than any love I could have for anyone else. Without a doubt she had the worse end of the fight--I hurt her more than she hurt me. But I want to do everything in my power to make her realize that everyone goes through big fights--and those that survive are the ones that find true lifelong love. Enough with the sappy talk, I just want her to know I am sorry and that I will be the person I used to be, and what better way than with music? I know a CD will not win someone over, but it may help rekindle feelings that both of us had numbed in the fight.

So far I really only have three titles:

"Thank you"- by Dido
"Hard To Say I'm Sorry"- by Az Yet and Peter Cetera
"Hero"- by Enrique Iglesias

I was in a restaurant yesterday and heard a song that sounded newer (Late 90s but probably 2000 to present) and it was about being sorry and that I will be who I used to be. As it is not typically my genre, I could not place the name or artist. Anyways, songs of these natures could help, and any titles would be appreciated!

Thank you...

Eric

Lover you should have come over - Jeff Buckley. If you feel even a fraction of what the lyrics describe....well, I'd be very jealous....

word to that.

btw, if you really want it to mean anything its kinda pointless to come ask people like us. it matters what the songs mean to you and her and your relationship. i mean if you just want a list of crappy love songs watch an infomercial for 'sappy crappy love songs vol.3'. otherwise you need to put a little more though into it.

there should be a minimum of 25 post before you can post a new thread!

I don't just want a list. I am not here just tryng to get song titles, but song ideas. I am searching every song I can find, from those listed here to those listed on iTunes, from those that I own, from those that I've heard. I am not looking for the quick way out, but for those who may beable to understand and lead me to what I need to hear.

Is that not what music is about, sharing?

I reiterate-Just play LOVE-JOHN LENNON. Every sentiment, every little emotion is in that song without resorting to sentimental shmaltz.

The Fall of Troy - Macaulay McCulkin

Its what real love is really about..

"Under the docks, on top of the rocks. KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
Why the fuck are the doors locked!?

Maybe she forgot about our talks, or maybe I'm mistaken,
But I swear to god that she's not getting out of this without some kind of explanation,
Oh I'm straining on your patience!? Maybe scaring you a little!?
Just because I came to visit doesn't mean you have to hide.
I'll be waiting on the side of your house,
With an empty bodybag
AND A LOADED .45!!!!

AND NOW YOU WON'T FORGET
MY FUCKING NAME!!!!!!!"
