Default Practice, Working Toward Craft Development

How much time to you devote per day toward developing your craft (PRACTICING!), be it an instrument, songwriting, singing, studying an aspect of your work, or even teaching an aspect of music?

Do you also find it better to practice at a certain time of day? By all means, share your thoughts and opinions in regards to this very important piece of artist development.
