i have heard many stories about where pearl jam got their name from. mostly break down to eddies grandma being named pearl and they added the jam for various other reasons. all of these seem moderatelly plausible and pointless. then the other day i heard on an episode of "weeds" on showtime the main chicks brother refers to her sons ejaculate as "pearl jam". now i know this is not the cleanest of topics to discuss but doesnt that seem like a very reasonable meaning of the name. i mean really, i could see that coming from west coast bums (who turned out to be music gods).

I've always thought it had more to do with sperm than a grandma.
