Default Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger

I was careful not to get too excited about this album (and failed, I love him too much) based on the previous 2 albums, but , three songs in, I can safely say this one is a keeper. I'm getting the same buzz I had when I first heard Cold Roses... I think he's back in full form....and I ever so missed him....

"Oh my God..." seems to be the Rosebud of this album...

I got it a couple of weeks ago and so far I'm not overly impressed, I'm really really trying to like it but it is so far just "okay"

Did you like any of his previous albums?

I am a huge fan of Heartbreaker and I find myself listening to Gold a lot. I have most of the rest and either I haven't listened to them or they aren't as instantly likeable as the two mentioned above

I dunno. I had a similar reaction to Heartbreaker when I first heard it. The first album I ever heard by him was Cold Roses and for some reason none of the rest have been able to compare (I think I gave JCN and 29 only 2 listens). Heartbreaker grew on me, this one I liked instantly....

I think that is perhaps why I don't find it very likeable, I was never a big fan of Cold Roses and this album is similar in a lot of ways

He gave up drugs and booze and it is starting to show. I think I like the outcome.

His new direction, if you can call it that, might have to do with his age, rather than the absence of his friend Jack Daniels. I think this one is a grower.
