It's pretty highly praised by most critics already, but personally I believe that if it were made by an American or British band in the 60s, it would get a lot more respect. Then again, if that were the case it probably wouldn't have been as good a record as it is given how much Brazil effected their music.

David Byrne is a big fan himself, and since 77 isn't one of my favorite Talking Heads records, I voted for Os Mutantes.

I've only gotten through the first three tracks but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Reminds me a bit of United States of America.

I am somewhat happy that at least one of the metal albums I suggested (Black Sabbath) will get past this round.

Mmm, this forum tends to be grossly biased towards alt/indie. Sure I like it, but it's better to have a well rounded general forum.
