actually i love the 'secret song' in the middle of 'Carry Stress in the Jaw' but like Janszoon said, it's by far the weakest Bungle disc (at least to my ears). my Marquee Moon comment was a reference to the first page of this topic hehe i chose a classic album that needed to be checked off more than listened to as opposed to the modern equivalent (them crooked vultures).
personally i think California is Bungle's best offering. i'll see about making more sacred burgers when i get home from work tonight, depends on how badly the day staff pisses me off with their inability to fill out timesheets properly hahaha |

It's still my favorite, but the long silent and weird interludes make it a bit harder to listen to repeatedly.

Heh. Yeah, I always found the long one where it sounds like they're sneaking around in a train yard to be particularly strange. I am kind of curious about exactly what's going on there though.

from what i've read the band had rented/acquired out a flatbed truck to drive them around town while performing at one point in their early career, i'm thinking that interlude is a recording of them hiding from the police trying to put an end to their shenanigans that night while taking refuge in a train yard. or it might be another movie sample, there's apparently a bunch of clips from 'Blue Velvet' on the album (i've never seen it).
