12 and under - radio, boybands, etc. I know I listened to a lot of music, mostly the most popular mainstream station here in LA (Kiisfm) and some hip-hop station. I was a casual listener.

12-13 - Hip-hop. Got into it with Will Smith & Dj Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, then branched off to Public Enemy, Tribe, etc. Mostly old skool and 90s stuff. I do truly believe I knew hip-hop history better than most hip-hop fans back then. I posted on MB back then, mostly on the Hip Hop board.

14 - Prog, celtic music. I got into prog because of Procol Harum, I looked for celtic music because I recently got back into Westlife (yikes!) and wanted to hear some traditional Irish music.

Now it's mostly prog, shoegazing, experimental, jam bands, pop, etc. It is cliche to say this, but I will listen to anything and give it a shot. I'm a lot more dedicated to music right now than I ever was in the past.
