While I'm feeling motivated here, how about another? This one is "Tug Boat" by The Book of Knots. It's neither old nor mellow but it has a great quiet/loud/quiet dynamic and their ability to turn dissonance into melody that sticks in your head blows my mind. The singer and violinst is Carla Kihlstedt, also of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Tin Hat Trio:
