Easy Star All Stars cover of Dark Side of the Moon and OK Computer are amazing! Some of my favorite reggae music.

A few others:

Dave Matthews Band - All Along the Watchtower
The Band - Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever
Phish - Rock 'n' Roll (Velvet Undercover)

XTC-All Along the Watch Tower has really good bass.
Cap'n Jazz-Take on Me is the best Cap'n Jazz song there is.
Frank Turner-The District Sleeps Tonight vocals are way better than the original. and Frank's Prayer to God is good but Shellac's is much more intense.
Meat Puppets' Lake of Fire is better than Nirvana's.

and I like hearing different versions of folk songs like Shenandoah, Little Boxes and What did you learn in school today.

Sunny Day Real Estate-Seven and any Yaphet Kotto song are the most fun to play.

The Number Twelve Looks Like You's cover of My Sharona is pretty ridiculous.

Oh, as well, I heard a female folk (I think) singer cover Straight Outta Compton... but I can't remember who it was.

That's an excellent cover. Phish seems to do a really good job with covers.

You're saying that Nirvana covered that song, right? Because if you thought that the Meat Puppets covered it, I think I might cry. Sorry if I sound kinda like a dick or whatever; I'm just making sure.

Elliott Smith does covers better than the original.

Because (the Beatles)
Trouble (Cat Stevens)
Thirteen (Big Star)
Waterloo Sunset (The Kinks/Ray Davies)

Not so much on the Big Star one, its just different but still amazing.

And I second Cap'n Jazz's Take On Me, theres others I can't think of.
