What was my alternative really? WBCN? Also I was 13 on the west side of Taunton. It was the culture.

Anything was better than Jammin'. Plus in Taunton you could easily get BRU which was actually really good.

Yeah, you're missing the "skinny white boy in the projects" aspect of all of this.

I did listen to BRU, i just swam in a sea of Jammin when I wasn't in my house.

Edit: Also, might I add, you and I both know Sunday was 360 day.

Metallica's cover of "Tuesdays Gone" and Guns N Roses cover of "Knocking On Heaven's Door" are my favorite covers.

I like Gary Jules cover of "Mad World" better than the original.

avoiding the predictable ones, such as Jimi Hendrix's version of all along the watch tower, here are a few off the top of my head

Rise Against:
Built to Last (originally by sick of it all)
Who will stop the rain (Creedence Cleerwater Revival)

Alkaline Trio:
Rooftops (Hot Water Music)

Rodrigo y Gabriela:
Stairway To Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
Orion (Metallica)

Disturbed:
Land Of Confusion (Genesis)
..In Flames also do quite a good version of that

Arch Enemy:
Aces High (Iron Maiden)

Between The Buried And Me:
Cemetery Gates (Pantera)

Sonata Arctica:
Fade To Black (metallica)

Skindred:
Back In Black (AC/DC)

Ignite:
Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2)

Apocalyptica:
All their Metallica Covers are awesome

Otep:
Breed (Nirvana)

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but Smashing Pumpkins cover of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide was really good.
