I was just thinking about this thread today when I recalled how much I love the Foo Fighters cover of Baker Street... great song, covered by one of my favorite bands...

Also really love Fear Factory's cover of "Cars" by Gary Numan

Is it better than the Devo cover? That, uh, probably wouldn't be too hard to beat... hehehehehehe... I can't say I am the biggest fan of Devo's work...

Between the Buried and Me have an album that is all cover songs. its called The Anatomy Of.. it is brilliant. every song from Us and Them by Pink Floyd to Bicycle Race by Queen is excellent.

Covers albums can be so hit and miss.... if done well, they can be great, wonderful, even...

But if executed badly, they can definitely leave you feeling like "so, what was the point of that?"
