kind of reminds me of how some bluegrass band called the Gourds did a cover of (ironically enough) Gin and Juice and everyone thinks Phish did it.

the original was a bob dylan song. and his version can never be bettered by anyone. I almost cried when I heard how much avril lavigne had butchered that song. oh the horror....

I'm gonna be a lil bitch and nominate Hurt by Johnny Cash (Trent Reznor).

I'm currently listening to Faith No More's War Pigs (Black Sabbath). Faith No More's guitarist (escapes my mind right now) does good justice to Tony Iommi. Not better than the original, but very good. The solo is definitely stronger.
