I do, sir. I am more impressed by other contemporaries. Black Keys are no comparison and the Cold War Kids have my respect for covering "I don't want to grow up" by Tom Waits. But "hang me out to dry" was poorly produced. You can't have that degree of repetition vocally without any deviation in music unless you want to run the risk (as they did) of dragging the song out forever with no musical redemption.

If I had to choose I'd probably go for Muse. I can't think of a single song of theirs I don't like and there's a song for pretty much every situation. A couple of years ago I would've moaned about the lack of Muse songs to properly dance to but we've got Supermassive Black Hole now so I'd be sorted there.
Yeah, I think they've got enough to keep me occupied. |
