I'd be pissed you undersold us if you hadn't done the same for yourself. if it was what I thought the top 5 should be, I'd say:

White Stripes

Modest Mouse
Mars Volta
Tv on the Radio

UK:
Amy Winehouse
Radiohead/Thom Yorke
Arctic Monkeys
Gorillaz
