I normally hear "Simply The Best" for sporting events, I'd prefer "We Are The Champions", more people get up and shake their fists triumphantly in the air, and I think it's pi$$ funny to see idiots doing that. hahaha. I can't say I think the song is that great though.

I would say Bohemian rhapsody is a way better song. The lyrics in we are the champions are so self congratulatory that I can barely tell whether Freddie Mercury was kidding or serious when he wrote that song. I kind of like it, but seriously I have to laugh every time I hear it.

the song is just boring. greatest song of all time? like a rolling stone!

I think it is a very good Queen song but the greatest song of all time is subjective and (imo) can never be determined.
Although "Rolling Stone Magazine" will tell you differently. |

This guys posting style reminds me of someone. Hmmm...........
I love Queen, but We Are the Champions, yeah lets just say that song has been very overexposed. Not just on the radio but everywhere, its appeared in countless movies, tv shows and commercials, usually for some kind of gag, same goes for We Will Rock You. I mean overexposure has hurt a lot of great songs, but I never considered these to be great songs in the first place. I've always prefered Queen for their more progressive stuff. Sheer Heart Attack and Night at The Opera are my favorite albums from them. Also. There is no greatest song of all time. |
