I didn't say it was surprising, I honestly expected nothing less than that. Ice, Ice, Baby was a huge song for the 90s and Vanilla Ice's biggest hit, so according to your logic it should be used.

50's - Bill Haley & His Comets - Rock Around the Clock
60's - Bob Dylan - Blowin' in the Wind 70's - Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody/Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven 80's - The Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star (yeah, it was released in 1979 but it represents the decade for me, and is pretty damn close anyway) 90's - Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Yeah, it really does represent 90's music) 00's - The White Stripes - Fell in Love With a Girl |

I can`t choose Smells Like Teen Spirit.
For me the 90s were about taking the best from the past and making it sound modern.Bands using beats & samples , adding technology to it and making it relevent to modern day.Music expanded & people mixed & matched genres more in the 90s than ever before and to me Smells Like Teen Spirit is the total antithisis for that. I don`t think Smells Like Teen Spirit is representative of the 90s at all.
