Polvo does write lyrics, MTV and VH1, never really sponsored them though. Their big thing they are famous for though is actually their music.

Oberst has more than one theme to his song lyrics. So don't make it seem liek he is the casualties or some **** band like that.

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

I knew I was going to get attacked because of my comment.
I was trying to make the point: Polvo > Bright Eyes Honestly, I wouldn't give a **** if Oberst had 200 themes to his song lyrics, it's the actual music that I care about. And if his lyrics are so great and what makes his band so awesome, Oberst should be in the poetry profession instead of the music profession.

I don't think anyone said Bright Eyes has original song ideas, that wouldn't be a selling point ever. Imagine: "This band is good because they wrote this song about a mountain rescue pelican that was raised by St. Bernards but gave up that life to be a dentist." Thats stupid. And if you don't like lyrics maybe then you should live in an elevator. Bright Eyes, while faultable on many points, has some of the better lyrics in music today. And trying to pin them on minimal themes is foolish. How many careers are built solely on lvoe songs. Get Real.
