Here are the interviews of Drumbo and Zoot Horn Rollo, for those of you interested:

Spoiler for Show:

Spent what felt like the entire day yesterday getting through these, and also watched the 2006 documentary Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band Under Review which go through the entire discography of the Captain. It was a good day, but I can't stop to wonder: AM I THE ONLY ONE ON THIS PLANET LIKING UNCONDITIONALLY GUARANTEED?? Everyone in these aformentioned sources show alot of hatred towards this album. Anyone joining my camp?

Anyhow. The Magic Band apparently hated the album and all quit the band afterwards, but what I wasn't aware of was that they together formed another band, Mallard, which they talk of briefly in some interviews. What do you guys think of these albums? Mallard (1975), and In a different climate (1976)

I kind of liked them. The second slightly more than the first.
Slightly skewed dad-rock kind of americana-ish feel to it, not very similar to the Magic Band.
