Samuel Andreyev is awesome. It'd be cool to pick his brain about Beefheart and other experimental music. His Beefheart videos are a must if you're a fan and they're really interesting even if they're not. The Frownland analysis gets a little into the weeds on the music theory level if you don't know much of the rudiments that he's referencing, but the John French interview is really insightful on the creation process of TMR despite the kind of fumbling beginning.

A short documentary revealing amazing detailed insight of Captain Beefheart. You must watch it at least four times before you truly comprehend the ingeniousness behind the man, the band, and the album.
