if (and we must) we're including a stripes album as a classic, it has to be the debut, when released it was so original and ground breaking, i've always preferred white blood cells to elephant. GBMS is NOT better than elephant however.

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

two very good songs, but album wise, you cannot better the debut.

If you're having trouble spelling adidas, you can just call me Marijan.
I didn't wanna search for a list on line because I wanted a personalized, musicbanter one. Besides, I trust people here more than a bunch of pretentious strangers.

Also, I was hoping this thread would turn into something more, and eventually we could upload those albums to some permanent file storage place so each of us (current and future MB-ers) could improve on our overall knowledge of music.

@Stu: But but but....I like Elephant the best....

Fugazi-13 Songs [1989](Post-Hardcore)
what post hardcore is really about.

I can't remember if this one the list but if it isn't it definitely needs to be
Husker Du-Zen Arcade [1984](Alternative Punk)

I forgot to put the genres.

Black Flag - Damaged (hardcore) - 1981

The album that truly kick-started hardcore punk and the American 80s underground scene.

Meat Puppets- Meat Puppets II (1983/Alt. Rock)

The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club (1967/Psychedelic Rock)-Honestly I think it's one of the only Beatles albums worth buying

Black Sabbath- Paranoid (1971/Metal)

N.W.A.- Straight Outta Compton (1988/Rap)

The Jesus and Mary Chain- Psycho Candy (1985/Noise Pop)
