if (and we must) we're including a stripes album as a classic, it has to be the debut, when released it was so original and ground breaking, i've always preferred white blood cells to elephant. GBMS is NOT better than elephant however.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

I didn't wanna search for a list on line because I wanted a personalized, musicbanter one. Besides, I trust people here more than a bunch of pretentious strangers. Also, I was hoping this thread would turn into something more, and eventually we could upload those albums to some permanent file storage place so each of us (current and future MB-ers) could improve on our overall knowledge of music. @Stu: But but but....I like Elephant the best....

Meat Puppets- Meat Puppets II (1983/Alt. Rock)
The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club (1967/Psychedelic Rock)-Honestly I think it's one of the only Beatles albums worth buying Black Sabbath- Paranoid (1971/Metal) N.W.A.- Straight Outta Compton (1988/Rap) The Jesus and Mary Chain- Psycho Candy (1985/Noise Pop)
