I'm going to second Green Day's Dookie. Seems like the quintessential 90's pop-punk album to me. I think half of those songs are ingrained in all our psyches.

Television - Adventure
A tranquill, gentler sounding counterpart to their rawer, punkier debut.

R.E.M. - Lifes Rich Pageant
A must listen for anybody who thinks R.E.M. can't rock out.

Can - Monster Movie
A relatively simple stripped down album compared to some of their later works, focusing more on the funky, garagey side of Can as oppossed to the experimental one.

Primal Scream - Vanishing Point
An atmospheric, largely instrumental venture into krautrock, psychedelia and dub reggae.

You don't belong here. Because you're in for a lot of pain, pretentions and biases.
