I'm going to second Green Day's Dookie. Seems like the quintessential 90's pop-punk album to me. I think half of those songs are ingrained in all our psyches.

Television - Adventure
A tranquill, gentler sounding counterpart to their rawer, punkier debut. R.E.M. - Lifes Rich Pageant A must listen for anybody who thinks R.E.M. can't rock out. Can - Monster Movie A relatively simple stripped down album compared to some of their later works, focusing more on the funky, garagey side of Can as oppossed to the experimental one. Primal Scream - Vanishing Point An atmospheric, largely instrumental venture into krautrock, psychedelia and dub reggae.

Grainmetal oh yeah, I forgot about Masterplan. That is a classic. Not sure about SOTSOG though? I didnt think it was as bad as everyone said, but I wouldnt put it down as a classic.
