Classic Rock = rock from 60s-80s? Whatever, I wouldn't consider Zeppelin, Beatles and Pink Floyd all the same genre.

Indie = independent record label.

Bright Eyes has quite a few folk songs, but I wouldn't put him under folk. Digital Ash, I Will Be Grateful For This Day, cmon.

The Decemberists are not indie.

I completely agree with that. Theres are sorts of classic rock like Art, Glitter/Glam, Jazz Fusion, Experimental, Singer/Songwriter all sorts of ****.

Anyway, this is a VERY hard poll for me. I only recently heard the Decemberists but I liked them a lot. Although, I've been listening to RHCP since I was like 6. Yes is a favorite of mine, as well as Deep Purple. GRRRRRRRR. I might as well go with the trend and be on at least ONE winning side to this whole search for the best band and go with Decemberists.
