Yeah records definitely have a "truer" sound. It's wierd, cds are cleaner and clearer but in a sense they're not. You don't get that same vibe to a cd as you would a vinyl.
Mum owns a record player, and it can be pretty cool. I will sometimes pull out Suzi Quattro or The Who and give it a spin. I would use it more but my computer doesn't come with a vinyl burner.

^For me its the satisfaction of knowing I own the original recordings, not digitally remastered or any of that ****. Like I own Alice Cooper's original 'Welcome to my Nightmare' and after seeing him live its just unreal.
