I like American Idiot.
I like Oasis. I don't like Elliott Smith(except one song) Most Ray Charles bores me. I've heard 'Slanted and Enchanted' and 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain' and by what I've heard, Pavement is overrated. I like Coldplay(to most elitists this is blasphemy) I heard 'The Queen is Dead' by The Smiths and I only like the first two songs, the rest is overrated. Also, even though I really don't care for most Rush, I will allow that Tom Sawyer is an orgasm in my mind, and the lyrics are really top notch.

I really like the Tool albums ''Aenima'' and ''Lateralus'' but not the biggest fan of what they did prior and after. I also really dislike their rabid fans who think anything they do (including using the bathroom) is revolutionary and God-like. Take it eazzzyyy!!!

They're good, even great when you hear Lateralus and Aenema, and portions of 10,000 Days raises the hair on my neck... what I love about their sound is their depth, the myriad drumming and I do have to admit that Maynard James Keenan ca0ps it all with some very artistically apporpriate singing - look ,he's a really good singer, but the fact that he doesn't delve into vocal histrionics makes me respect him all the more.

I don't like Pavement either.
Eliott Smith is just too depressing. Can't stand the Smiths. I'm a bit sick and tired of Coldplay, but I have to admit that I like them. I like Green Day. I really like RHCP. I don't know if that's a popular opinion or an unpopular one here. I know they're pretty mainstream. |

I've never been able to understand or get into the whole Pavement / Malkmus thing - actually found their music just a touch boring to be honest, and the worst Blur album was the self titled one where they tried too hard to sound like Pavement...

-Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest groups ever.
-Green Day has always been messing with their sound and trying new things from the start with their first few albums. anyone who says they wish that Green Day went back to their old sound doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about -I love Green Day, btw -Foo Fighters > Nirvana -Soundgarden > Nirvana -Alot of bands > Nirvana, actually -all music is relative to each other and every genre/scene goes through alot of the same changes and patterns/history repeats itself -I respect what Messhuggah had done/influenced and all, but alot of their older albums are so damn repetetive and generally boring -Phil Anselmo is a great vocalist -Between the Buried and Me are fantastic, and i thik Colors is one of the best albums ever to grace my ears -anyone who only listens to music for the lyrics/doesn't like a band soley because of their lyrics is goddamned idiot -same for anyone who doesn't give a group/artist a chance because of their name -i liked Outkast more starting from Stankonia to their last album more than their older stuff -Megadeth > Metallica. srsly -Butthole Surfers are possibly one of the best bands in the past 20 years, and that's something i stand by -I can understand if someone doesn't like metal, but to say that there aren't any talented or innovative metal bands is a crime against music -pop punk is actually really good -so is Nu-Metal -the above two might draw some hate, but like all other genres, there's the innovative and really good groups, but then alot of **** bands ruin the good stuff by trying to imitate it shamelessly becuase they have no creativity or the balls to do something different -Jethro Tull's best album is Thick as a Brick, not Aqualung -Parliament > Funkadelic, i assume it'd be unpopular to even compare them -not all pop music is bad
