And enemyat_thesix, since when does a band's live performance at all make up for how shitty they sound on record? I do all of those things when I'm on stage and it doesn't sound as terrible as the FOT make it sound. He's only been playing for 3 years, thus, inexperience. I can back up everything I say about them so don't call it ignorant when I doubt you can say why you think Slayer is so bad.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

Actually he was pretty popular before he offed himself, miss misery anyone? Plus no sh*t, it happens with any musician who dies even if they don't off themselves. As for being an overrated Nick Drake i've yet to see where the comparison comes from and no one explains it to me. i've listened to Nick Drake's stuff and the only similarties i've seen is between Pink Moon and Roman Candle/Self-Titled and I wouldn't consider that a rip off seeing the similarty is something thats common through out the whole singer/songwriter genre which is the albums are acoustic. Elliotts extremely talented, people don't appreciated his music enough. In addition to have one of the most pretty voices ever he was an excellent musician who was good at quite at all the instruments he played, and I have respect for someone if they play more then just guitar. Which he was also really good a, memory lane, angeles, and so on. He was a brilliant producer and arranged everything very well. I don't see how people can consider him a typical songwriter and listen to Figure 8 or XO. |

I think the unpopular opinion here is that Nick Drake is highly underrated. The man made three genius albums and no **** ones. How many artists make only good albums while putting out more than one album?
