You get a pass for being from North America, it's not quite as ingrained there as it is in Europe & other places.

Nobody anywhere else has an excuse though, cept maybe Africa.

I honestly think you're posting in this thread and aren't entirely sure what the concept is.

As long as you don't call it an emo band, I'm totally okay with that.

Well, this is legit Midwest emo. It's only one song, though.

In fairness to the man, he stated earlier that he was posting examples of unpopular opinions. But then he said some other stuff that would contradict that.

Long live Franco tbh.

Just want to say that contradiction is not something any one person is capable of avoiding. Even the brightest minds contradict things they say or beliefs they have. Just what came to mind when I read this post of yours, hahaha mean nothing by it really.

Allright....

Metal is mostly boring, or not really different from pop music or both.

The vocals in extreme metal are about as scary as a child doing a monster voice.

Punk is mostly sloppily played pop music. Noise, free jazz etc. are much more punk than punk.

Bob Dylan might be historically influential, but his music is lame.

Jimi Hendrix was an incredible guitarist, but the songs are mostly uninteresting.
(Although it's funny that one of my favourite songs of his ("All Along The Watchtower") is by Bob Dylan.)

That's it for the moment.

Since all of those are mostly about personal taste there really isn't much to pick apart.
I would never walk around saying that those artists/genres generaly suck or the people liking them are stupid and know nothing about music.
Also I've been a huge fan of metal and punk for many years.
