Totally. I don't care how technically gifted a rapper he may be, his monotone delivery is just so boring.

^ Agree and he is just a corny rapper.

If Biggie or Tupac were still alive, he would not nearly be as popular.

He would be on Nas status except he would not get the respect Nas gets.

The Great white hope... I don't think so. He is more talented than Jay Z though.

What is your definition of a ****ty rapper?

Who is not a ****ty rapper to you?

Rappers who make bland and uninteresting music with standard lyrics usually qualify as boring to me. Biggie's got flow, I'll give him that.

Emcees I like are Billy Woods, Vast Aire, Homeboy Sandman, El-P, Killer Mike, MF DOOM, etc. People who have intelligent rhymes and good lyrics with great beats (most of the time at least. I'm looking at you Homeboy Sandman).

Frown how can you not like Nas when Nas is the epitome of this definition, c'mon now.

Let's see, one guy (Biggie) with cliched gangsta lyrics, another guy (Tupac) who's lyrics would've been more meaningful had he not gotten lost in his own "thug life" nonsense, and another guy who was great when he wasn't being inconsistent. I like all three of them to different extents, but if it wasn't for the East/West coast beef, Tupac and Biggie would have just been two more good MCs. And Nas... yeah, inconsistent even on his good albums. And all three of them played into the cliche of the rapper pretending to be a gangster. Call it hindsight, but it's very hard to summon up appreciation for schtick so old that, if it were a woman, I could legally sleep with.

Eminem however had lyrics, flow, and personality that all combined to create one of the most unique and charismatic personas in all of pop music. There aren't many artists of any genre that bare themselves that fully onto record.
