Kurt Cobian is a better singer than Janis Joplin.

there's really nothing special about John Mellencamp.

You've obviously never had his waffles.

I can never be too sure but I'm almost certain he has a fanbase. Somehow.

That'll happen. Get enough radioplay and the Trollhearts of the world are sure to buy one of your albums. He does paint pretty pink houses though.

you know what's funny

there's an actual Little Pink House a few miles from where my parents live and I grew up thinking it's pink 'cause those people might've been fans.

but now I know nobody loves that asshole

nobody

Word. Each week at the local farmer's market I used to go to there was always an artist playing for tips by the food carts (as in meals, not veggies). One of the regulars there was a guy who strictly did John Cougar Mellencamp covers, he even had preset harmonies that were...something. Glad to say I don't accompany my parents to that market anymore, even though there was a great bluegrass group who came in once in a while.

I'd rather not risk hearing awful music for the off chance that some cool cats would be playing something decent for once.
