Dr. Dre is a better rapper than Snoop Dogg.

That's ****ing bluegrass with reggae singing. Don't tell me bluegrass is just repurposed African music. I always assumed it was Irish in origin.

And I don't know if I'd listen to it normally, but on a lazy, summer afternoon, with a few buds, a few beers, and a joint or two, that would be pretty chill background music. I'd definitely take it over straight reggae at least.

Despite this i really hope this booty competition escalates and Beyonce and Shakira join it.
The agenda is pretty straight forward anytime you have a 45 year old grown woman with two minor children still shaking her ass and singing about booty.

It is sad people don't see it.

At least you see the difference. Many people don't. Good job Batlord.

What, between that and reggae? It's pretty obvious to me. It's closer to pre-reggae Caribbean music than reggae (not that I know much about that kind of stuff, but I have ears), but it has more of that frantic bluegrass energy to it. Sounds like the perfect soundtrack to a really good cookout on the beach. Or for tokin'.

What is really sad for me is that i feel J-lo did it just to remind ppl she was once the booty queen AND to piggy back Nicky's video.

i don't think she had to resort to that, it seems kinda desperate in my eyes.
To top it off she wasn't very subtle on how she copied Nicky, i mean the song is literally called 'Booty' as in, remember me J-lo and my latin booty? c'mon you guys used to love it, LOOK AT IT AGAIN!

More than the music itself i see this as the former booty queen trying to compete against the new booty queen cause she doesn't want to be replaced.

Love the fast kwassa kwassa and that great Congolese guitar style.
Do you like Koffi Olomide?
I do like many of his songs. Here is one my favorites from Koffi. My own youtube post.

Tcha-Tcho.

Just because an artist plays an instrument does not necessarily make them better than an artist who does not.

The Drifters were genius. I love them very underrated 60's group. It was simple music but the harmonies are crazyyy!

Chuck Brown/Go Go music deserves more recognition

The 70's was the best era of commercial music
