If any band can actually lay claims to being the most important band ever and it really not be that farfetched then they deserve some respect even if you don't like their music.

Oh, sure, but people take the fact that I simply dislike them (with the exception of four songs) and are like "but this, but that". I get it. The Beatles are important. I don't have to like them though, do I?

When I say lame, I say their music, to me. It doesn't excite me, or make me wanna listen over and over again.

That post was aimed at Oomph! saying they were "objectively lame."

What zeee hell....

All I said was that good does not necessarily = relevant...

I personally like Propaghandi, but they aren't particularly relevant to any music scene...

I think that albums that are recorded on 8-tracks have the perfect sound.

The Beatles being lame compared to the bands I listen to isn't meerly an opinion, it's a tangible fact. Bass, time sigature, bpm, guitar distortion, layers of orchestrated sounds, among many things are all measurable values that can be used to judge how lame (lacking in motivation and passion) something is or is not.

Granted I don't have specific numbers or formulas, it's just obvious. You don't need a thermometer to know the sun is hotter than my oven.
