Entirely depends on which albums. Though I personally think none of their records are bad.

I've found that members that think they do not need to consider what they say because they can supposedly say whatever they want, as it would be their opinion...it is harder for them to realize or learn that they can't just say whatever and expect no consequence. Their opinion and ideal freedom to say whatever they want, it does not mean they can actually do so. Why is this concept so foreign to people?

I will not be shy about making it known that this is directed at Soulflower. Having had discussions with her, however only two times so far. It is evident that she is convinced and cannot be persuaded otherwise, that her opinions are the only facts. I've observed several of her debates with other forum members. Someone disagrees, Soulflower starts throwing so called facts around, accusing others of belittling her or looking down on her, insisting all these things over whoever she is having a disagreement with. This is not someone I care to talk with. Bullheaded, know it all.

This statement toward her is a direct consequence of her attitude toward others, other forum members opinions or views on things. It really irks me and for the life of me, I cannot bring myself to just let her rampage all over the forum, derailing conversations in to so called personal attacks on her and the ideals she believes. How could I be wrong about anything I've addressed in this post of her when so many others voice the same things, and she dismisses them claiming they're untrue, while repeatedly doing exactly what people are saying she does. What more proof do I need?

I am sorry Soulflower. But if you can't deal with what people may or may not say about the opinions you voice. Keep them to yourself. It's no fun having a debby downer. It is beyond irritating having someone like you throw a fit when someone says you're wrong about something.

This concludes my rant. Anything directed at me by Soulflower will be ignored. Couldn't keep this to myself any longer. I want a forum where I can discuss things peacefully and rationally.

I am not sure why you feel that I am not entitled to respond to a post where I am being personally attacked. lol

You can ignore me all you want but I am going to address this post since you personally directed it towards me.

First off, I did not come in this thread to complain. I came in this thread to contribute to this thread with an opinion about music. My opinion was related to this forum since this is a music forum. I made an observation about what I thought about the forum so not sure why you felt I was "personally complaining about how others treat me" when I never mentioned that at all.

Last, for some reason you feel you have some superiority over other peoples opinions. I think you have a misconception about what an opinion actually is. Just because you disagree with someone does not mean they are not entitled to their opinion. As long as people are respectful and being courteous, people are entitled to express whatever they want the same as YOU are on a message board.

No, Goofle. Bad, bad Goofle.

You were supposed to agree that they're not good. You ruined the game. For shame.

I have such utter contempt for people like that.

I really can't stand Haim. Overproduced, polished safe pop and everytime the bass player's face twitches I get real angry.

whaa? I think they're pretty good. I really liked that first album, it reminded me of a more bluesy white stripes. I guess that's what they were going for considering the similar name..
It's nothing special though.

I don't like the White stripes and idk why..

on paper the band has everything i like in music but their music doesn't really move me it just sounds alright.
it's like something is missing and no im not talking about a bass player what i mean by something missing is that Jack white is missing something and im not really sure what that something is..

It's not his guitar riffs cause he's actually a pretty good guitar player i think it's originality.
i think he knows how to play different genres and how to emulate the great artist in them but i don't feel he brings alot of his own originality to the songs.

that's just my opinion though i know alot of ppl like his music.

I like the White Stripes, but I kinda get what you mean. It's not like I'm the biggest fan of either the white stripes or the black keys anyways.

The band Fun! So many think they're so original. I'm sure any of you here could name who they rip off.
Agreed. I think most people have forgotten about them, though, except for my little sister (help me).

I'm in the same boat. They have several songs I like and I own a couple of their albums but I'm not all that into them. I saw them in concert about a decade ago and that's when it hit me: they kind of bore me overall and a lot of the their songs are kind of samey.
