Spousal abuse mainly, also some homophobic remarks and violent drunken outbursts. He's my favourite too though.

It all depends how you judge him, i don't judge rockstars as being super human or saints they can be just as flawed as any regular joe the big difference is their life is on the spotlight and ppl expect them to be good role models but that was never a criteria to be a good musician.

the f*cked up thing about public figures like him is that everybody has an opinion on how they should behave, for exmpl i remember hugh grant publically apologising for cheating on elizabeth hurley, why? he didn't cheat on me, why should i care?

just imagine you our own life being on the spotlight like that and ppl putting you on a pedestal and then knocking you down.
i think John was a flawed human being but i don't think he was a bad person.

I'm not sure he was abusive to Yoko. I always heard it was his first wife he was abusive to.

^ Yea he did fawn over her. I think he really loved her which is why it was stranged to me that someone said he would abuse her. I think maybe they were referring to his first wife maybe. John striked me as so peaceful, I am rather shocked but thanks for info.

He fawned over Yoko so much he wouldn't let her near other men if he wasn't right next to her.

@Black Francis. Even if John Lennon wasn't a public figure and I found out that he was abusive, homophobic, and violent I still would think "that guy is a bad person, I don't want to associate with him." Maybe I'm just overly judgmental.

The bottom line is he was a dick. Even in the way he talked about he bandmates, it's obvious he was a dick. Not a person I'd want to associate with either.

God complex. Alot of the interviews where he was an ******* were done during their heavy drug use years. Its clear he was an ass from the start at a young age, but his emotions spiraled at a later age. His own son Julian has tainted memories.
