I am not making any out burts nor have I said anything that has not been true. I haven't called anybody a racist on this board so why would you imply that to me? I have white friends and white teachers who have no problem discussing this aspect of American history and make the same arguements. I think some members on this board are ignorant and judgemental when an argument does not fit their own perspectives.

I never said Elvis was not talented, nor did I try to take his success away or popularity. I just simply argue he was overrated in terms of pioneering blues and rock N roll which was mostly originated by African American artists who seem to be underappreciated and not recognize at all. I also think its unfair how he is credited for originating his dance moves and singing style when he mostly imitated Afrian American performers and singers namely and mostly Jackie Wilson.

I even admitted he admired African American artists and was friends with them and I think he was downright handsome and gorgeous.

Many would say the same of you. You have been quick to judge and quick to make sweeping remarks about the people here. It's unfriendly.

That means this same arguement was said about Elvis and it was a well known fact.

Jackie was friends with Elvis so he would say something like that. Jackie respected all his peers and never bad mouth anybody really.

Elvis however never opened his mouth to say what he copied and imitated from Jackie Wilson.

Elvis was in the back wings watching and studying Jackie. There is proof that he went to his shows so this means nothing.

You really think Jackie copied Elvis?

LOL

I have not made any judgements about anybody here. I have never called anybody here out there name but every time I make an opinion or state my perspectives people have no problem jumping on me. That is unfriendly.

It boils down to how you are making your argument. None of us here would be 'jumping on you' if you weren't acting the way that you are. So before you point fingers at us, really check yourself first.

And you're right, Elvis created neither, nobody did. It evolved from what came before it.
Ok I agree about Elvis, but with the latter what are your opinions on how Rock N Roll were created?

My opinion is it doesn't matter how it was created if nobody is there to listen to it.

So I am suppose to act the way you want me to act in every thread I make an opinion?

I am suppose to say my opinions the way you want me to say them?

Ok lol

I think you need to check yourself before you judge someone over the internet you have never meant and you also need to get over yourself because people have a right just as you to express their opinions any way they want.

As long as there is no disrespect, cursing or attacking there should be nothing wrong with it. It sounds to me you have a judgemental opinion about the way I expressed my opinion in this thread simply because you disagreed with it.

You're completely missing everything man, I don't even know what to say.

Look at how everyone has reacted to what you've said so far. Every one of those people found the way you're making your case to be in some form of bad taste. I am not the only person that has found something wrong with what you're saying. That should be more than enough to show you that, hey, maybe you need to stop for a minute and look at how you're rubbing people the wrong way.
