Kanye is amazingly talented, but he is a different kind of important than The Beatles, in a different time. His influence will be lasting, but it is in an age of connectedness and social media that those mop-topped lads from Liverpool never dreamt of in their heyday.

Also I'm getting this vibe from you that you just want to keep genres "pure". What's wrong with mixing up some hip hop into other genres unless you just outright hate rap/hip hop music. Kanye and Wiz had really good verses but yes even I will admit that Juicy J's verse wasn't that strong on Dark Horse.
I don't believe all genres need to stay pure. I just feel like this "Rent a Rapper" trend among popular music doesn't fit the music at all, and feels more like a commercial ploy to smash two artists of different genres together without really making it fit.

I don't care for Avicii's music, despite all of his songs having over 80,000,000 plays on Spotify.

Kanye west may be a jackass to many many people, and he is a jackass... But his music over-compensates for his attitude and personality. If anything I'd say he has the right to be a jackass.

Liam Gallagher on Kanye West: 'You'll never see Jesus banging his head' | Gigwise

Liam's commentary on it makes me lol.

c/s Kanye > John Lennon though, never liked John Lennon.

"Run to the Hills" is an awesome Iron Maiden song, but it seems to be considered, along with "The Trooper", to be their penultimate song. It's great and all but it's still massively overrated (unlike "The Trooper" which has been known to bring a tear to my eye due to its sheer metallic perfection). Why that song gets actual radio play where I live and "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "Aces High", and "Moonchild" are ignored I have no idea.
