important in the fact that he actually is more revolutionary in calling out racism & homophobia, he gets people talking about things that need to be talked about, and he does it well. the Beatles didn't |

You know, the comparison between Lennon and Kanye is not that crazy, both of them were arrogant enough to compare themselves to jesus at one point.

He said the Beatles were more popular then Jesus. That is not arrogance it's fact. How many people you know are excited about rushing off to a revival? How many people you know would be excited to rush off to a Beatles concert. They are still more popular then Jesus. And it is still a fact not arrogance.

Really all I meant was he didn't compare himself personally to Jesus. He compared the popularity of the Beatles, to the popularity of Jesus. Not a personal comparison is what I should have said babe. Not a personal comparison there for making it not an arrogant statement but a fact.

If you ever watched Jay Walkers which use to be on The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno. A lot of people know more about Pop-culture than historical facts & figures. I think John Lennon was trying to draw that kind of analogy.

The only fact here is that they were very popular and influential at the time but to aim at the stature of the J-man? talk about living in a bubble of fame. let me ask you personally, do you agree The Beatles are more popular than Jesus?
