Is it? Last I checked a slight (or maybe not so slight) majority of posters here seem to frequent the rock/metal forum more than anything else. I'm sure most of them would agree on Okkervil River being unredeemable, irreclaimable shite.

Look, I actually listened to their new freaking album so don't say I didn't try man.

And when I make a comment here, its what I consider to be unpopular on Music Banter, not what is unpopular everywhere else.

I'll tell you one thing, I won't lie, I like a lot of mainstream music, I listen to a lot of classic rock and pop. So while it may not be unpopular to say "Blue Öyster Cult are awesome" somewhere else, here it is.

Which reminds me. Blue Öyster Cult are awesome.

I don't get it, is this really such an unpopular opinion? Did people here really dislike HttT, and if so, why? It has so much good going for it.

Because it was "uninspired" or some dumb crap.

Uninspired eh? I'd always felt Amnesiac was a little lacking, and afterall they were only recordings from the Kid A sessions that didn't make the cut. Hell, there wasn't even an intent at the time to include those recordings on a later album. The general fan'n'critic community always saw Amnesiac as a lesser record to Kid A and even saw HttT as being the superior record; common understanding is that even Radiohead themselves never saw or intended Amnesiac as a masterpiece. Yet here I frequently find that people insist on it being their best.

I think Amnesiac is a fantastic album, I think its just as good as Kid A as a matter of fact.

But why are even arguing what is better? We can all agree that all of Radioheads albums are pure gold, save Pablo Honey.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Amnesiac a lot. But the idea that it's somehow their masterpiece is ridiculous imo.

Lol yeah. OK Computer should be written in stone as the ultimate Radiohead album. IMO.
