But

You said "loads of songs get banned"

I took that as you implying 90% of songs that are released typically get banned and that is not true. You did not refer to the past when you made that statement

There are songs constantly played RIGHT NOW as we speak on the radio that should technically be banned but aren't because of payola and other political reasons.

That is not necessarily the case for all artists. An artist would have to be established and already popular for a banned song to still sell.
This is typical of the kind of rubbish you spew, you've tied yourself in so many knots you don't even realise what point you're trying to make half the time.

I say banning records gives artists publicity and can sometimes cause an increase in sales.

You then tell me they'd have to be an established act for that to happen.

I give you several examples of times that hasn't been the case and your counter to that is to say 'Well it didn't when it happened to Michael Jackson' as if that negates my point in some way.

Pathetic.

I don't listen to much mainstream Hip Hop at all so couldn't really say. I am going to assume that it's better than Rick Ross/Macklemore/Jay-Z's recent releases, but I haven't listened.

But they are average when compared to everything I listen to.

Neither am i, i was just kidding man

i actually like system of a down and even though they're one of those political bands i don't think their message is much of a threat, it's more like a cliché of revolutionary propaganda.

I feel like that's why it gets so much credit because it is a nice throwback and isn't similar the rest of the mainstream releases at the time.

Superunknown is one of the most boring albums I've ever heard.
That album alone was responsible for making me realise grunge was dead and it was time to move on.
