That's your interpretation of it, doesn't mean the points bought up are any less valid.
Besides, that's the nature of this thread and always has been since it's started yet it's one of the most popular threads on the forum.

Like I said if people have a problem with it and have nothing interesting to add other than sniping at the people involved there's always the lounge where that behaviour seems to be encouraged.

Well ok, I won't do it again but I'm not sure it's fair to categorize me as unwilling to participate in music discussion. I just thought the same points were going in circles. My apologies if it's expected to be that way.

Urban is a moderator of this site, and a damn good one. I will abide by his directive here not to complain about the types of yesitis/noitisn't excanges such as there was earlier in the thread, I just wanted to defend myself against any perception that I'm a lounge-only poster.

I was sincerely asking because I thought he was the owner of this site lol

I knew he had some type of major authoritative role here but was not 100% sure of the role.

And I think anybody has a right to defend or explain themselves regardless if they are a moderator or not. I personally didn't see anything wrong with you explaining why you posted the gif.

I agree with Paul as well, Urban is more than likely one of the more knowledgeable posters here at MB. As well as a being a good moderator also. I've personally gathered a lot of good information from him through the years concerning various artists and their music.

Apologies if you think I'm singling you out, that wasn't my intention.
It's just something that keeps creeping into the music forums and it is something we've had complaints about in the past. I just wanted to act on it and nip it in the bud before it becomes another epidemic and we start getting complaints again.

My personal opinion is that Notorious B.I.G was not an all-time great. Ready To Die is very good. Life After Death is below average. Because it is a bloated double album. He said some clever things, but is not top 10. He could have been. We'll never know...

i don't like jimmy hendrix much ppl say he was a big deal for rock music but i draw no influence from him i recognise he was a superb guitar player but other than that i don't get what is the big deal about him.
