That's like Nirvana still playing with just Dave and Kris. Gross, man.

This probably seems pretty contradictory with my username but truth bet old, I only like AIC with Layne and Alice is in a close proximity with my actual name but leaves some mystery. Just how I like it.

I agree completely. I'd much rather listen to Cantrell's solo stuff tbh.

I agree. Boggy Depot is better than any of the post Staley stuff.

They kinda just sound like old AIC with newer production tbh. Probably what AIC would have sounded like if Layne were still alive, except with Layne's voice and some of his lyrics (Jerry wrote a good amount of the lyrics anyways), and the new guy really isn't that far off vocally.

Kurt wrote all of the music and lyrics for Nirvana, so without him they'd just probably sound like a crappy alternative rock band, like Foo Fighters.

Perhaps in terms of an artist. Not so much in terms of a personality.
She was, at least over here, never out of the media but that was usually because of her personal life and many problems with alcohol and drugs.

Back to Black was also heavily critically acclaimed so it wasn't like there was a shortage of people who appreciated her talents, although I agree that there should have been more focus on her music and less on her antics outside of music.

It's hard to tell what kind of career she would have wound up having also. I'm not sure her attitude and character was ever going to have any longevity and ultimately it was her life choices and who she was that lead to her demise.

Amy Winehouse has been really underground for the past couple of years.

a woman that won five grammy's in one year, tied for the most that any woman has ever won in one night (at the time, Adele and Beyonce have both gotten more since then), is underrated
