Nothing wrong with Pearl Jam. Except their consistency didn't really bring anything new to the table. Style was pretty monotonous too I guess. Still love em though.
Oasis... *falls asleep for many hours*

Pearl Jam really ain't bad guys. I still prefer Soundgarden (anybody who says Soundgarden is bad should be locked away), but Pearl Jam is quite a great abnd if you ask me.
Oasis, however, is boring, annoying and repetitive and they are ripoffs of bands I don't even like to begin with. I prefer The Verve over them any day. |

No one else really sounded like Pearl Jam (other than rip offs Creed and Nickelcrap), they stood out. Some thought they were just controversial, which is fair enough, a lot of their early stuff were. But you could hear the sincerity in their music like a pungent smell. They definitely had a lot of space to develop more than they did, which unfortunately was their inevitable let down.
I saw PJ live and really, they were excellent. They just performed. for. music. Not jumping around on stage like monkeys with pretentious rock and roll antics. Eddie Vedder had emitted the same kind of emotion behind his voice as on record. They are a million times ahead of Oasis in my book.

What was the inevitable let down in their development that you're referring to? I'm guessing the experimental edge.
