Wingers last album (Karma) was actually pretty decent... for Winger anyway.

All Winger albums are decent. That Metal Show defended the band. I think I said so earlier.

Also, Nickelback does hard rock songs well. Unfortunately, most of the singles are sappy, calculated songs.

I'm not sure why you mocked my statement. And The Housemartins' singer was mediocre and the music generic 80's Brit alternative. Like it or not, The Escape Club stood out.

The Housemartins were alternative?

How is a jangly guitar band in a decade of jangly guitar bands in a country full of jangly guitar bands signed to small labels an alternative to anything.

The Bends is Radiohead's best album.

Nirvana maybe did four or five pretty good songs and the rest was over-rated mediocrity.

I totally agree about Nirvana.

In fact, I think Hole's stuff was far better.

I beg to differ on the first statement, I mean, surely it's all opinions and such, but while I do love The Bends I'd prefer OKC and Kid A over it any day.

And the second statement is rather true, I mean, I like them but Nevermind just isn't one of the best albums around, there are sveral grunge albums that are way better (Superunknown, Dirt etc).

Calling Nirvana overrated is not a very unpopular opinion, you know.
