I prefer Ozzy Osbourne's discography over Black Sabbath. Ronnie James Dio as well.

We have to consider that Ozzy had at least three different "outstanding" lead guitarist during the course of his solo career. They all differed in style which helped Osbourne's music evolving through the years.

Randy Rhoads
Jake E Lee
Zakk Wylde

Ozzy ranks at the very top, as far as being a major influence on the rock genre (metal especially) In my opinion

Randy Rhodes deserves at leas 95% of he credit for Ozzy's solo work. I'm not a big fan of Wyled. I think he's an unmitigated douche, and for his gallon of technical skill he couldn't fill a thimble with any sort of melodic taste.

Rhodes, however, was a genius.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I always liked Jake E Lee as a guitarist with Ozzy, as well as Rhoads and Wylde, Jake E Lee was especially good with the band "Badlands.

That Badlands debut album is a classic with Ray Gillen on vocals.

King Crimson is pretty bad.

21st Century Schizoid Man is mediocre at best.

I recognize their influence and importance, but hate their music.

Actually..I would have to be on drugs in order to tolerate listening to a whole album by Black Sabbath at any one given time. I prefer Ozzy solo myself. Sabbath sucks! Far.. from being "amazing" anyway.

What You don't like "No Rest For The Wicked"? Miracle Man, Breaking All The Rules, or Crazy Babies. Not to mention the album "No More Tears". Ive always been a fan of "Black Label Society" also.

Oh well..What ever floats your boat I guess.

Do you like Ozzy's current lead guitarist, Gus G?
