Midnight Vultures (1999) never fails to cheer me up after a bad day. No other Beck album can do that, not even Odeley (1996).

I disagree 110%. While it's a very good album. I don't think it can touch the debut.

I think the order of albums for them goes like this.

1. Rage Against The Machine
2. The Battle Of Los Angeles
3. Evil Empire
4. Renegades

The Battle of Los Angeles is the best RATM album.

RATM is a bad band. The vocals are horrible on each album. And they paved the way for similar, even worse bands.

That`s a fair enough opinion.

Not sure I agree with the first two sentences, but I wholeheartedly agree with the third.

Any artist/group with such a large influence is going to spawn a lot of terrible groups. I mean, just think about how many godawful rappers you have heard make references to Illmatic. I happen to love RATM, though.

Here's one. I think Lil' Wayne makes hilariously bad music, and I've always had trouble understanding why he's popular among so many different groups of music lovers. Same goes for Nikki Minaj.

Albums since the invention of the CD are too long.

There are very few bands that can hold my full attention with something like 14-18 songs on an album that lasts well over an hour.

35 to 50 mins with 10 songs is just fine thank you.
