I think Kenny Loggins has artistic merit.

Loggins & Messina had scads of poppy-folk goodness. "House At Pooh Corner" is still a piece of **** in my eyes, but the majority of their stuff I've heard is pretty solid at the very least.

His 80s stuff was really fun, too.

The reason I asked, is that early to mid period Tull is roughly defined into three musical phases: The Blues rock period mixed with some other styles, the prog rock period and the folk rock period. I find a lot of Tull fans usually have a big preference for one of these periods and yours seems to hit the early period.

I think Aqualung is their best but the problem is, it opened the door to the overblown prog stuff that came after.
