As for original sounding... the **** distinguishes Guns N' Roses from Motley Crue and Ratt?

The vocals definitely do. Stephen Pearcy and Vince Neil both are not equal on vocals at least technically speaking. Although I liked Too Fast For Love, in its time a good hard rock album. Ratt was big with Out of the cellar but Warren Demartini admitted he couldn't play rhythym worth a **** and he was right.

Guns N' Roses are the same hair metal crap 10 years before them. ****, they're not even that great technically. I mean, compared to say Mr.Big, they weren't even that impressive instrumentally.

I also agree with Mr.Big being boring, but they share the same traits of all blando pop-rock, and at least they have ONE thing going for them. Guns N' Roses rises off the illusion of Slashes overhyped guitar work being somehow beyond ordinary when, even compared to less popular hair metal bands, it isn't.

Appetite for Destruction had an attitude that none of the other hair metal bands had. The first three songs basically laid waste to the rest of the hair metal brigade. Sure the album wasn`t very original and came across as Aerosmith meets the Sex Pistols but they were certainly the best of all the Aerosmith knockoffs.
